Check with Chip at Dundee Day

Fire up the Comrex Hotline. It's another remote broadcast of Check with Chip.

Toorrow is the annual Dundee Day celebration in one of Omaha's great historic districts. The Check with Chip radio show will broadcast live from the heart of Dundee Day.

The pancake man fires up his griddle at 7:30. The Dundee Day Parade is at 10:30. Then plow into the midway on Underwood between 50th and 51st Streets for artists, craft booths, and children’s rides. Dundee restaurants will serve food all day. There’ll be live music into the night.

My kids are looking forward to the Dundee Bank Street Olympics – bobbing for apples, a 3-legged race, a pie-eating contest – then at 2:30 it’s the Kool Kid Concert by the Doo-Dads. The Check with Chip radio show will be in the middle of it all thanks to Dundee Bank – not just another bank, another KIND of bank, YOUR kind of bank. Dundee Bank.

If you can’t make it to Dundee Day, do the next best thing. Tune in to AM 1420 KOTK Saturday morning at 11 for Check with Chip.

Here's hoping the remote technology works a lot better than the last time you tried it and that being that close to KFAB doesn't knock you off the air.
