Live from the Walk for Life!

The Check with Chip radio show will broadcast LIVE from the annual Walk for Life tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on AM 1420 KOTK.

The folks at KOTK have given me the green light to haul the "Comrex Hotline" -- a portable microphone-through-phone-line contraption -- to Lincoln. Sounds like something out of "Get Smart." I hope it works better than the Cone of Silence and other CONTROL gadgets.

This should be fun. I'll be set up in a corner of the grand ballroom, where people congregate after walking from the Capitol to the student union on the UNL campus. Come by and say hello!

While I applaud your efforts to make the Walk For Life interesting to just more than its participants, 2 hours of coverage with some really boring state senators/wannabes was at least 60 minutes too much. With all the local, county and state issues/politics to discuss...and garner a larger listening audience...why spend so much time on issues where you are preaching to the choir? You should also add...and ask for...Links to leavenworth street blog and Steve Brown's blog hosted by omahacityweekly.com...adding such links will drive traffic to your blog.

OmaSteak,

You may have a point about too much of a good thing. I'm still figuring this out.

I'll have to get more savvy about blogging.

What topics would you like to hear raised on Check with Chip? Anyone else jump in as well with suggestions for topics.

I asked Street Sweeper over on LeavenworthStreet blog to add a link to checkwithchip yesterday and he did so since you are back to doing more regular postings. I'd like to know more of your thoughts on how to deal with the new "learning community" to either eliminate it or minimize it's impact on our taxes for one major topic. Local and state politics should also prove to be fertile ground for discussion provoking topics.
